The works convenor reported that all grass cutting was now complete & this was six weeks earlier then any other season previously recorded.

He further reported that the main priority now was dealing with the aquatic weed growth in the Don & that he, Dave Gordon, & Stuart Fleming would be progressing this including seeking volunteers by the use of the website if necessary.

Paul read out a proposed item for the website recording the sites commencement, development & importance to the Association. It was agreed it should be posted.

Members Conduct

Stuart advised he had given a junior member a verbal warning for lighting a fire at the loch. The Committee decided that no further action was necessary. The President advised that two members had been written to by the Secretary following a complaint from a reliable source that they were observed on the Garthdee beat drinking from cans of beer and then throwing the empty cans into the water and on to the bank. As President he decided to take no further action on this occasion, however if it should happen again they were warned that disciplinary action will be considered.

Competition success

The six man team representing the Association at the Lexus National competition heat at the Lake of Menteith who qualified for the two day final at Rutland Water on 9 & 10 September were congratulated on their success.
